happily serving those in southwest nebraska + beyond
My hubs and I both grew up with three other siblings. 2 boys. 2 girls in each fam. I always thought that was kinda cool. We're so dang lucky to raise our little munchkin near both his grandparents and within a quick drive to most of his cousins.
Family is at the forefront of our lives. We wouldn't be who were are today without the impact of all of our loved ones. We can't wait to pass that value onto our children as they grow older.
In April of 2017, I married my high school sweetheart, Catlin, and call Arapahoe, Nebraska home. Our precious baby boy, Jett James made his arrival a year ago on October 8, 2018 at 9:26 in the morning. Cat & I are both elementary school teachers in our alma maters, which happen to be rival schools. We leave that at school, though. Wink, wink. We love hiking, traveling, and most importantly - spending time at home with our family and our rambunctious, overbearing, but totally lovable dog, Halo.
but to care about the family! When working with the little ones she is truly amazing. I could not be happier with our forever photographer.”
FAMILY. HALO. COFFEE. MOSCATO. COUNTRY CONCERTS. CAMPFIRES. MIRANDA LAMBERT. ORGANIZATION. WHITE TRIM. FLAIR PENS.
I love mornings. Well, when I'm well-rested, it's not freezing cold, and I can enjoy my morning coffee after waking up - peacefully. This rarely every happens, normally it's not without a "Mommy, Mommy, down, down!" Which is perfectly fine, too. But thank the Big Man upstairs for that extra bold, highly caffeinated coffee + big squeeze from my sweet little 2-year-old.
There's nothing sweeter on a Sunday afternoon than snuggling with my husband and little boy on the couch watching Mickey Mouse Club House. Although it's not myyyy fav, and I'd much rather watch Scandal or Blacklist, maybe even re-watch some One Tree Hill. I'd take anything if it was accompanied with toddler snuggles.
I was 15. He was 17. We were at R-PAC band. It's a day long event for students in band across southwest Nebraska. I was playing the French horn; he was paying the baritone. We kept locking eyes, and the rest was history.
Pico de gallo. Fresh salsa. Restaurant style salsa. Homemade salsa. You name it, I'll eat it. I LOVE me some good, fresh chips 'n salsa. So much so that I gave it up for Lent last year. What's your guilty pleasure?
Whether you're browsing around for ideas or are interested in booking a session. Your time is valued. It's important. And I'm so glad you spent some of it here. I'll leave you with this - one of my favorites messages from Mother Teresa.
